Driving directions

By car:

Coming from Munich, take the highway A95 Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Leave the highway at exit (10)“Murnau/Kochel” and follow the road to Murnau. In Murnau follow the signs to Oberammergau/Bad Kohlgrub. When you arrived in Bad Kohlgrub, then follow the signs to “Oberes Kurgebiet/Hörnle”. The hotel is situated directly opposite of the Hörnle chairlift. 

Coming from Ulm, take the highway A7 Ulm to Füssen. Leave the highway at exit (134) “Kaufbeuren/Marktoberdorf” and follow the road B12 to Marktoberdorf Shortly before Marktoberdorf follow the signs to Schongau and then the the signs to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In Saulgrub follow the signs to Bad Kohlgrub. When you arrived in Bad Kohlgrub, then follow the signs to “Oberes Kurgebiet/Hörnle”. The hotel is situated directly opposite of the Hörnle chairlift. 

Coming from Innsbruck, take the highway A12 Innsbruck-Bregenz direction to Bregenz/Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Leave the highway at exit (87) "Zirl Ost" and follow the road to Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Murnau. In Oberau, follow the signs to Oberammergau/Bad Kohlgrub. In Saulgrub follow the signs to Bad Kohlgrub. When you arrived in Bad Kohlgrub, then follow the signs to “Oberes Kurgebiet/Hörnle”. The hotel is situated directly opposite of the Hörnle chairlift. 

By train:

From Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen trains run every hour to direction Murnau (Staffelsee)/Bad Kohlgrub. In Murnau you have to change the train to Oberammergau. 

We are able to arrange a taxi transfer from the train station “Bad Kohlgrub” to the Hotel Schillingshof. Please make your reservation in advance, at least 24 hours before arrival.

By plane:

From airport "Franz-Josef-Strauss” in Munich, take the S-Bahn “S 1” to Munich Central Station. From Munich trains run every hour to direction Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Innsbruck. At train station Murnau (Staffelsee) you have to change the train to Bad Kohlgrub/Oberammergau. 

We are able to arrange a taxi transfer from train station “Bad Kohlgrub” to the Hotel Schillingshof. Please make your reservation in advance at least 24 hours before arrival. 

A taxi transfer from airport "Franz-Josef-Strauss” in Munich to the Hotel Schillingshof is available. Please make your reservation in advance at least 48 hours before arrival. The taxi transfer costs around EUR 180,- and must be paid directly to the taxi driver.
